The Theater For A New Generation invites you to come and experience three dynamic plays that pushes us to question our sense of humanity. The Elephant man written by Tom Gibbons (The Story of John Merrick, The Elephant Man), starring Ben and Richard Washington, is about the pain of difference. The A Word written by Linda Faigao-Hall starring Denise Arthur as Beth and Omar Cooke as Young Man is about 25 years of guilt. A Funeral Home written by Lawrence Habbinson, starring Tinisha Williams and Vladimir Manosalvas is also being performed. We have in addition 2 monologues: Danny Hoch’s The Bronx performed by Williams Clairns and August Wilson’s The Janitor performed by Omar Cooke.
All plays and monologues are directed by Mr. Mel Williams, who has been training actors for over 40 years and continues to teach classes, scene studies and production aimed at developing actors. Mel Williams has worked with top talents in the entertainment industry; Queen Latifa, Common, Michael K. Williams, Mary J Blige, Rick Ross, Dwight Howard, Jill Scott and many more.
The first nights of performances will be on Friday, August 26th at 8PM and Saturday August 27th at 8PM at The Producers Club at 358 W44th St. New York, NY. Admissions are $25
